A question for any fab petrol heads out there. I am going to have to invest in some new tyres for my car, it's a Chrysler crossfire with 18"s on the front and 19"s on the rear. Does anyone know a good place to get top quality tyres at a resonable price?? Any help would be great.. |

Blackcircles.com saved me £600 compared to what BMW wanted.
Don't go for the budget range as the cheaper brands don't cover anywhere near as many miles as some of the more familiar brands. |

Surefix if you have one near you. 19's are a bitch if you get a puncture for repair and most need new when damaged. |

i used to have the same sizes VR rated on a car i got rid of last week and some of the budget tyres are rebranded established makes. if you do a search on googs you should pick up info ,i know marshalls are big brand

If you like false economy, take this advice.
Buy cheap, buy twice. Middle of the range is a sound bet, expect to pay £150/£200 per corner for middle of the range. |

Ive worked with and tuned cars for years and no matter what anyone says budget brands often last longer than the more expensive tyres for the simple fact that they are made of a harder rubber compound and because of this last longer with sensible driving compared to the more expensive and often worse premium brands.
What alot of people dont seem to realise is that the budget brands are often made by the same manufacturers of the more expensive tyres but under a different name. Search the net and you can pick up some good deals but remember its going to cost between 10 and 16 quid for fitting on each wheel if you buy tyres and have them delivered.

Totally agree, you would be suprised at the quality of a lot of the budget tyres, I would tend to steer clear of far eastern budget brands.
I would deffo google your size and go from there, some really good deals if you look hard enough.
I would ring a few wholesalers too, you'l be suprised at the mark up retailers put on tyres! Try costco aswell, they do michelins at good prices and my local costco also stocks kleber tyres which are fairly good too! |

Non petrol head here, but why have bigger typres on the back and wouldn't that make the car higher at the back? Do you have to hold on to something if you are sat in the back incase you roll off the seat?  |

Used Blackcircles several times and just as someone else said i was sent to a local guy that i had used several times before as the person allocated to fit them.
Can save you a fair bit of money on a decent tyre and my car is recommended Bridestones for perfornace.
Never had a problem with them at all good company.

I use Camskill and then get a local place to fit them. They are usually cheaper than the other online tyre dealers and the local places don't normally mind fitting them as they are still making something. |

Bigger tyres on back help with its handling... most drag cars have them like that.. or cars that they run at pod..
I used to have a size bigger on the back for quarter mile runs.
I would ask on a forum dedicated to your car.. as I find most car forums know the best place to get good quality but cheaper tyres..
