How do you tell the difference between a FWB and a FB?
It seems to me, from everything I've read from women, that if you ask a guy to do something that's more friend than benefit, he'll soon decide he's only a FB after all.
Personally, I've never met anybody for sex twice. Either you're a friend or you're yesterday's menu. |

I think the openness is the key to success here. I've had the same FB for 3 years now, I don't here from her for weeks sometimes, then we hook up for some mutual fun. Nothing more expected either way. |

Just be honest and be clear with people : we'll be friends, we'll have sex together, but we won't have the drama or the feelings, just the good side of a relation!
That's how i did it and now i've got 4fwb (none from Fab) and we meet wgn both want to meet, simple as that. If people wants more, it means that they don't get the FWB thing. |

I,'ve had problems with the FWB/FB thing. Mostly its the men want to chat all the time, meet too often and a lot wanted exclusive. I have had it the other way around by being too attached to my FWB. Currently I just have my long-term FWB again, but this time we're doing what it says on the tin, just sex...XXX |

I've been friends with benefits with someone now for 9 years that's all it is and that's all it will ever be we both totally agree on that so yeah it does work  |

Yes - I've had them work, lasting years. Though when I was younger I had a few where they got involved and it ended with their tears. Keep it random, no established pattern, reduce the friendly part to a minimum if they seem to get more attached. And have variety of them or shag partners - possibly reducing 1 to 1, having more groups - where all are equal, if possible

Suits us perfectly - just a pity we are so far apart as that limits the fun. I have been looking for someone more local as well but hard to find unfortunately.

I met a friend for a drink back in summer 2015 for a catch up after last seeing each other in 2011. We had a drink etc and she went home and i went back to mine. The next day she text me and out right said she wished more had happened. So that evening I went over to her and we played until the early hours. She said she wanted regular sex and I wasn't going to decline. We'd have been meeting up about 3 to 4 times a week for about a month. One day she messaged me asking before we jumped into bed if I could help her put up some curtains in her lounge and spare room...when I got there I cracked on and she let the cat out the back saying she wanted more from me than sex and she'd developed feelings from me. Ouch, I thought. We continued to shag fot about another month until she said she wanted to be with me. I didn't one a relationship.
I think that having a regular FB will, on most cases, lead to one person developing feelings and that's where it gets messy. Having been in this position I wouldn't want to have a regular FB lasting months on end. |

I had an amazing FWB a couple of years ago. She was pretty, horny as hell, and half my age. It lasted for about a year, then sadly for me she found love and decided our friendship wasn't fair on her new man. Now we don't even talk. Shame. |
