I watched Iron Man II the other day & it was rubbish. The first was no Citizen Kane, but it was alot better than the sequal.
What did you last watch & was it any good? |

Last night I watched Cry Baby, a 1990 film with Johnny Depp and Ricki Lake in.
Classically funny film, over acted, stupid story, ridiculous, but makes me giggle every time I watch it.
Before that I watched the original Hairspray. Basically the same film as above but with no Johnny Depp!!! |

"Last night, on dvd, watched "The Round up", true story of events during world war 2 in Paris. Stars him from the Leon film, you will cry, its guaranteed!"
Night before that watched "The Eagle", did people of that period have american accents and say "wats up" etc?
Spoilt it for me,but if you like battles and blood n guts, it has all that. |

"Is Bad Teacher worth a watch? I've heard some good things about it!
it's worth it if you don't pay to watch it. "
Pay to watch it? That's just ridiculous! |

"The Green Mile...and it bored me shitless..
Well..that said..the sci-fi angle did, I didnt realise it was written by Stephen King..I would have enjoyed it far more without all the weird stuff.."
I've just finished the book, an excellent read. Although the 'sci fi' shit is very much part and parcel of the story. I find a lot of Stephen King, and Dean Koontz stuff is sci fi more then horror based.
Although Stand By Me, is an excellent film, I can just watch that over and over again, another King book. |

"There's Something About Mary" ....
But not sure what it is! . Diaz is beautiful, but I still think the film needed some more substance to save it! All the hype about it being a funny film? Nah! Just another mediocre film with a few rude visual jokes thrown in to make it palatable. Big fail in my opinion!

Yesterday I watched on one of the TV channels, "The Wrong Arm of the Law".
Yes, 1960's vintage, but comedy like they used to be!
Last film I saw in a cinema, was "My Cousin Vinny". Yes, I know that was years ago, but films come round so fast these days in the shops after release, why do you need to go to a cinema?? |

Blitz 2011
Jason statham as a gritty grumpy bad ass cop who bends the rules to serve justice.Does this sound good to you? well it did to me so I pitched up for the movie. Statham does a very convincing job as the police officer,he carries on in serious earnest throughout and there are many laugh out loud moments in the movie. The supporting cast is also good, there are a few typical queer British characters thrown in which enhance the believability of the story. There aren't hard gritty action scnenes, special effects are minimal/none. But the macho factor and testosterone factor are high. And one last thing Zawe Ashton is smoking hot, phew!
