Yeah, get mobile, email, msn/yahoo whatever to chat first. Sometimes you can just tell by looking at their profile.
You can usually tell the timewasters or the firstimers & after awhile you develop a sort of 6th sense.
However, you still get caught out once in a while & it's F'ing annoying when you do. |

Its different with different people. Sometimes they come across as genuine, and will arrange to meet quite quickly (have been wrong though!) Others, probably most, come over as total bullshitters straight away, so just block. Just asking for a mobile number gets rid of most the timewasters straight away, I find. I won't travel to a meet without speaking first, and won't travel far nowadays. |

Well for me i have had someone msn addy from here for a while and then they left the site . Now i have not seen much of them on msn to talk with or grow any sort of bond of trust with them but when they are online or one of them is online i get asked right away if i fancy a meet that evening . |

Im with you on this one, you can pick up vibes from profiles, i always try and chat a while first mobile, emails, msn messaging on here, then arrange a meet hopefully lol |

Peeps should strike the iron when it is hot IMHO.
Once I have gone cold about a person, it would require a lot of effort from him to make me interested again. |

First i expect a notarised document,then letters from both parents,if one parent is dead 3 previous employers will do.
After receipt of these i expect dna tests, a polygraph,a crb check and full medical.
Over the next 3 weeks i employ a private detective and credit reference agency to do a full back ground check.
Then i will agree to meet for coffee.
If that sounds like too much work, i do have plan b, i use my judgment, intuition and gut feeling.The fact most of our meets come from chat help...
An example from last night, a bi man came into the room,started chatting ,wanted to meet me and kev.We went to pm where he quickly wanted details of what wud happen on a meet.Bye bye and blocked.  |

Chat and text via phones
If I am still interested after all that (most of them apply, chat via MSN does not always happen), then I would agree to meet.

Thats a one I often get too. Too many questions about what we are going to get up to, is a sure sign of a timewaster. |
