I'd ask Tony Blair if he really believed there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq when he sided with the Americans to start what has become one of the most uncomfortable periods we have had since the Second World War . |

Its one of those things we're all 99% sure of the answer but want to hear it out loud. |

I would also like to ask him if he was comfortable and happy with the roll of peace envoy to the Middle East shortly afterwards |

You could expand that question to most of the political leaders of the western world and ask what is the real reason we keep going in the middle east |

Wouldnt waste my question on historic cluster fucks, wouldn't make any difference anyway.
I may ask the leaders of all the factions what they expect to gain from the current killing. But that would probably be an equally pointless question.
Guess I will fall back on asking the OP fancy a fuck? |

"I would ask my mum am I really a handsome man or are you just saying that because I'm your son

Haha but maybe her truth is still the same answer? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder |

I'm tempted to say an historical figure or make a political quip. But I'd have to choose my Dad and would ask if he has ever been tempted to try to see me again over the last 34 years. |

Luckily this is hypothetical and I don't actually have to answer |

The list is too long, there are many unanswered questions and I'm thinking it best some stay that way.
I would ask if everything I was told was a lie.
Did you miss me all those years?
Why did you behave that way, you were supposed to care for me and teach me things.
Like I said too many to pick and would knowing the answers make a difference? Probably not

Ouch, feeling old scars in that post. I learnt when my first wife died, you have only got control of right now, at best you can plan for future right now moments, Time does make pain easier to handle, and my kids, grand kids, and second wife prove that the human heart and soul can be made whole again,
Peace and love everybody, hold past pain tight let it breath when needed, but don't let it own you for too long at a time, or you will be blinded to the joy that can be found in the now. |

That's kinda the way to think really. Would it change you to know the answers and would it be a positive or negative change.

I toy between wanting to know something historically important like asking Atilla the Hun "what exactly did Pope Leo say to you?" and wanting answers to some questions from my first love about what was real and what was made up.

Hmm well I would like to think I'd ask something deep and meaningful and intellectual - something like ask the curator of the Vatican archives what the biggest secrets that would absolutely shatter human society as we know it are that are under lock and key deep in the Vatican vaults....
In reality though before I actually got around to asking that I'd probably use up my one chance arsing around and asking something like 'How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?' |

"I'd asked Michael Caine how the cliffhanger in 'the Italian job' was going to be resolved in the sequel. "
The answer is out there if you Google it, they were originally going to do a sequel but it didn't pan out |
