Well I've just been blasting the Jam out in the car singing along quite merrily out of tune to myself.

Then it dawned on me that a lot of the thing's I believed about from the past have been suppressed for the last 30 odd years are still there inside me, or is it just that as we get older our priority's change and our outlook on life is viewed differently to what we perceived it or wanted it to be.

I guess we have selective memory loss as we grow older.

I try not to dwell on the negatives of the past, and to live the present and look forward to the future.

I cannot do anything about what has happened, however, I am in control of the present, and can influence the future.

I was playing The Jams Setting Sons the other week and the same thought occurred to me too.

I know it's a bit heavy for me that, but I do sometimes ponder about things

i was discussing this very issue recently wth a good friend. It can be of value to look at our life, see how we got to where we are and consider, honestly ,the choices that led us here.

As he said history repeats it'self the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce.

We can supress things because we don't want to be honest about out mistakes.

However what really matters is being content about where we are.Knowledge of the journey only matters if we use it to make things better, not to dwell on "if onlys".

Yup i have some odd conversations

Ive always had the same beliefs that i hold now, only when i was younger i wouldnt tell anyone because i thought i was different in my thinking to everyone else. My beliefs are personal to me but i no longer surpress them. I rarely talk about them but i am true to myself
