My first thread was an enquiry about Clubs in the North West.
Then I joined in on a few kiss, fuck, avoid threads and it all took off on a Christmas 2013 face pic thread called Show Yourself. I got to know a few regular forumites and that helped me settle in. I got burned badly on the first Lounge thread I posted on 'the mind of a woman' and my initiation was complete. I screwed up on a dating thread a few months later and the issues surrounding it and decided to get less involved, stop meeting and generally just take the piss out of myself on here and post pics instead. |

When I first started, the forums were full of formidable characters and I stayed away for ages, then when I did post and one of them answered in a negative fashion I shit myself and stayed away for a while! Now I think meh lol But even after 9 years I'm still forgettable |

I think I'd been on Fab for over a year and was literally just about to leave the site altogether when I happened to spot the forums. I'd never even noticed them before! I found it was nice to finally get to interact with people. Slowly I became more confident and started to post more and before I knew it I was one of the regulars.
I haven't been around much for about the past six months but I am slowly trying to ease my way back into it |

"I just started offering tea and talking about my hair.
Has there been any further character development?
No, there really hasn't. "
Well, when you start with excellence there's not really anywhere to go... |

"I used to frequent the chatrooms way before I discovered the forums ...
I still use them occasionally"
I wasted away my first four years on Fab in the chatrooms - the next four in the forum. I guess that means I need a new haunt or should just join the UNLOS |

Hadn't even looked at the forums for months when we joined.
Not sure what was my first that I posted to but they suit my sense of humour 100%.
I can be a bit controversial at times but that's how I am.
Never mean to offend and will never intentionally.
Great fun, we love it |

Almost 4 or 5 years ago now.....on our couples profile.
I stuck to the Scottish forums and very seldom posted in the lounge but as time went on...I posted more. For my singles profile honestly I can't remember now |

I lurked for ages. Then posted a tiny bit. Then a bit more. I tend to post things that amuse me, or in response to something that mildly irks me or that makes me think and despite having some good interactions as a result with the occasional kindred spirit I tend not to get noticed that much. Which is fine by me, it means I can pop in and out as and when. |

Last year someone who I had been chatting to for a while mentioned the forums being a great deal of fun as she wasn't actually meeting at that point. I hadn't investigated the forums though I had been on Fab over a year.
I decided to take a look and jumped into discussion that day...though I do not remember what the thread was about. |

I tried the chat rooms first but couldn't get into it, It moved to fast and 90% of my comments either didn't get noticed or was just ignored,
It was months before I found the forums and my first post was something along the lines of would it be ok to send people who live miles away my face pic asking for their view before I send it to local Women

Can't remember what our first post was about but we just dip in and out of the forums. Sometimes they're a great laugh and sometimes all the fluffy shit does my head in |

Same.
'The regulars' still take the piss out of newbies. |

This is very similar to how I ventured into the forums.
But then...
I decided to get more stuck in especially with the North East. All I wanted to do was close the gap between the North and South divide...
100+ Forumites in the North were trying to ignore me and stop me from engaging or were picking on me in the threads. I had adopted the resistence is futile policy and they eventually accepted me as a long distance friend!
I then went into the Irish forums... big mistake! I peaked, threads got closed so I backed off. Those that were involved or witnessed that know how funny that was
I enjoy light hearted forum banter, but the interactions with the occasional kindred spirit keeps me coming back to the forums x |

Fuck knows. Probably Kiss, fuck etc threads and then status shuffles. Then I worked my way into every thread going and am slowly taking over.
I think the end of year awards really did it though. |
