Whenever glastonburys on it usually belts down with rain and turns into a quickmire it must be rare to have this kind of weather I wonder if the heavy rain can keep off, our local county show is on on sunday I,m hopeing its dry then there,s been a big change in the weather in the last two days here which is quite refreshing after that heatwave. |

Dunno if it was hotter as I was hiding abroad in 95, but I loved my first one in 94 we spend most of the weekend just lay on a blanket enjoying the music |

There's a stage introducing BBC's?

It's one of the few uk festivals I've not been too.
Glad you can watch individual sets on iplayer nowadays, bbc coverage in the past has been pretty dreadful.
Really enjoyed watching Royal blood and currently watching flaming lips. Looking forward to seeing Mark Lanegan, he was awesome in Birmingham last Monday, I'm sure foo fighter and radiohead are gonna be great as always too |

I don't mind Ed Sheeran, but there's a time and a place, final headline show of Glastonbury isn't it. Should be a rock back up there giving it full welly! |

"god that ed geezer is shite ...turned it over ...bad sounds or maybe he cant sing live ?"
I'm not his biggest fan but am sure all the people singing his songs and his accountant will beg to differ,
That's the thing about music, We all have different tastes and opinions on who is good and bad |

Personally think ed and biffy were put on the wrong way round with his stuff being more suited to a nice sunset. However have to remember he sold out 3 days at Wembley...no mean feat for any artist |

"We think he's amazing - not many people can get up there by themselves without a backing band.
Awesome x"
not seen him before and most of his stuff is not my taste but fair play on his performance, pretty much has the crowd in his hands..

You're not alone! It's just not exciting at all! Don't get me wrong though, I think he's awfully talented, just need something more energetic to close the festival. |

The crowd are obviously enjoying it but it ain't Coldplay! "
I feel it's a bit of an anti climax especially as there is no Glasto next year.
He should have been before and something epic to close..IMO |

stuff works..... but i just think this is the wrong slot
last time he played glasto he played straight after the "sunday legends" slot....
they was so mellow that works brilliantly....
i am glad i am not the only one who now have a greater respect for what coldplay do live...... |

I've not watched The Killers' set yet but I'd have happily had them closing. I may be biased though as Brandon Flowers is my dream guy. |

Would love someone like QOTSA, Muse, or similar to be closing Glasto. Someone that packs a punch! |

Fair enough. Though the fact that it has finally been dry should leave it in much better shape than a wet year. |

I like Ed but get confused when he was strumming his guitar and I can hear the sound then he stops strumming and I can still hear the sound?
I don't mind a little artistic license but prefer artist to have a backing band, play and sing live. |

He uses a loop to create the layered effect live. |

Yes, I was fascinated by it - not sure how he controlled it all, or if he had help.....?

Love metronomy.
Re. Ed sheeran, not a huge fan but he's good, he's entertaining and as someone who's seen skunk ananse headline,he did ok.
I used to quite like early biffy but they buffed up and became the Scottish foo's and their originality went with their fat bellies. |

He has a number different channels on his pedal board that loop over to layer the song out and he yarns them on and off with his tootsie when required..... very clever. That's how Royal Blood sound so big with just a drum and guitar. |

I think Ed's musical genius is his musicianship. Using digi delay pedals to build up layers of sound to good effect. He's someone that I don't consider myself a fan of but will watch. Whereas a lot of bands I just sack off. |

I understand how it all works, squencers and drum machines but I just did not realise he was doing that. Lol.

I agree.. have to say there was a lot to like over the weekend... foo on Friday... the killers set was epic, run the jewels are so under rated, elbow were fantastic as normal, the entire Sunday afternoon of Barry Gibbs and Nile Rogers.... dizzy rascal and stormzy were good
My only disappointment in a funny way was Radiohead just because they didn't play as many classics as they could of.. and Katy perry, who wasn't bad, but I don't think she really fitted this Glastonbury |
