whats best for sunburn.im a red head and got well fried today. even my scalp is really burnt and its starting to hurt now. tried after sun but to no avail..

many yrs ago when we where in cyprus, my youngest daughter got burnt, she has fair skin and burns easliy even with total block on her. we where told to try natrual yogart and it was the 1st thing that helped her, but u have to leave it on over nite and then change bed linen as it does stink

Ouch - fellow red head here and slightly pink and thats with factor 25 on !

A good quality Aftersun or Aloe Vera is great but for me only after I have taken the heat out of the skin - cool (not cold) long shower, after a shower maybe sit in a cool room with a cold wet flannel over worst area.

If your badly burnt putting cream directly on to hot hot skin may blister. Happened once to me on my back, not good.

Unfortunatley its just like a burn of any other kind getting the heat out of it 1st is important then lots of cream.

thanks. im away to hunt in the bathroom to see if i have alovera. i do have sudocream tho .maybe il have a cool shower the put it on later.id hate to blister but if its good enuf for a babys bum then its good enought for me lol

I agree with Shaz try Aloe.

Go for one that is almost pure Aloe i saw one the other day in a certain chemists that has the initials SD.

Not sure im allowed to name suppliers on here.

I fell asleep in the sun in France and got blisters on my leg.

Went to the local pharmacy and they gae me Aloe Vera Gel

Really helped and no scars

I am just the worst 4 sunburn.......15 mins and im fucked.....the irish/scottish roots......ive always used a good after sun and aleo vera.......or yoghurt.....but not like muller yogurt like plane yoghurt
