"Anyone any thoughts on healing and aging. Anything actually
Not the pain as thats a massive turn on"
Do you get that feeling when you hear the buzz of the needles...I do.
I'd just treat like you did with your other tattoo. |

As a couple who have both got tattoos the oldest of which is now 50 years old we are quite well qualified to talk about this.
First healing as long as the person getting the tattoo is fit and healthy there is no reason to be worried about healing.
The main thing to be aware of is that any picking of the scab that covers the new tattoo whilst it is healing should be avoided as that allows infection an entry point.
We would recommend using Coca Butter to moisturise the area of the tattoo whilst it is healing as this allows the area to stay more elastic than if it is allowed to dry out.
Aging: All tattoos age as does the skin carrying them. As a tattoo ages the ink will spread slightly under the skin, on my oldest tattoo the spread of an ink line is in the region of from the original 2mm thickness to 3mm over 50 years. But having said that it may not even have spread at all as the needle used to make the line could have been thicker than the ones used today for lining.
The black ink has faded to a more bluey black than jet black and the red has faded a lot.
However the emerald green is still strong as is the yellow used, the fading is more to do with the quality of ink than anything else so go to a reputable tattooist for longevity of ink.
B has tattoos on her breasts (we would have sent you an image but you block our age group) as with any design on a part of the body that changes with age one must choose a design that works as the body shape changes. We are pleased to say B’s designs still work even though the shape of her breasts have changed in time.
The main thing is realise that a tattoo is with you forever, we still believe it best to only place tattoos where they may be covered if you want to cover them for any reason.
