How close you and your brother must be if you let a woman come between you.
For my part, my cousin saw me kissing a woman in a club (nightclub not swinging) one night, told my family, my aunties and uncles got all indignant, and caused a massive family row at my Nana's funeral no less.
I have little to do with them now, I can accept them having a problem with my being bi, its causing the problems at the funeral I will never forgive them for. |

Have only spoken to my mum twice since Boxing Day. Been seriously ill for a good part of the year and had an op on Monday, and she's never once picked up the phone to see how I am!!! |

Family is important ot me and I never let a falling out fester to such a point nobody speaks for months or years. One can choose one's friends but one's family can never be replaced.
(obviously I'm speaking from my own personal perspective, and I know there are some out there who wouldn't pee on their family members if they were on fire) |

I have not spoken to my sister since 2002, she has not spoken to my brother since 1989, and she has not seen/visited them since 1989, or attended my dad's funeral. |

"My son has sadly cut himself off from me his father and his 3 sisters for more than 5 years now. Very sad for him really "
I have two step sons: one is in contact with his sisters, the other has nothing to do with any member of his family. We know he's a flight engineer working for a major airline and was living in Spain for a while: but nothing about him since he returned to the UK. My daughter is getting married and wants both her brothers there.
I didn't speak to my mother for nine years as she said it served me right my son died. Wasn't enamoured with my dad for telling me either!
I was on business in Scarborough and decided to cross the Pennines to visit her. I know my dad told her to behave, but she couldn't help herself.
No contact in nine years. When she opened the door I wasn't expecting anything nice: and she didn't disappoint. The first thing out of her mouth: "still fat I see".
I thought my dad was going to throttle her ! Oh well, at least I tried!
Next time I saw her she was in a pine box! |
