A minor gripe rather than a rant.
The a/c at work switched off last night so the studio is sat at about 35'000 degrees. It's sweaty just sitting still, let alone rigging up for the days agenda |

I have one hell of a rant to do today. It probably needs a thread of its own. Instead I will quietly rant inside my head or scream into my pillow, whichever works best. Can you approve rants without knowing all the juicy details?  |

Right....
1. Got bills and insurance to pay this week, rent too, my customers all want things done yesterday but don't want to pay until next month, this leaves me with a massive cash flow problem.
2. The customers I sorted last month still haven't paid, see above for the issues it causes.
3. I pay a guy to work for me, every time I walk in he is sitting down and playing with his phone while there is a stack of work to do.
4. I am angry at myself for being a crap businessman, i need to employ someone to answer the phone, get invoices out, get money in, keep up with my social media advertising and special offers but INSTEAD of addressing these issues I am drawn to Fab and another similar site to escape my issues.

I was watching that Holiday Disasters programme that Jamie Thea stone does last night. Why do they blurr out the left and right hand sides of the video clips??? Is it to look edgy or the latest gimmick? It looks bloody awful and distracting..... pack it it in I'm not impressed |

My rant is about the rain..
It finally arrived but with a whimper rather than a bang...
I was expecting big, fat droplets teeming down and all I got was that fine, misty stuff that you can't actually see but gets you piss wet through nonetheless

I'm ready for a rant, I had a feeling I may need to and I hate being right about these things.
Being considerate
Not a difficult concept, being mindful of others feelings. I'm not saying you should change or alter who or how you are because then you're cheating yourself. But there are some small things that we can all do to help make those around us we care about feel valued. Letting them know they do matter and you aren't just thinking about your own well being. I know it's a swinging site but why would you treat ppl any different here than your real life. A few simple words is all it takes.
Human beings can be such a disappointment sometimes, I know I'm far from perfect but I do try and be considerate |

People have a big problem with exploitation of foreign workers to make trainers or iPads in sweatshops but for some reason they're ok with cheap labour picking our fruit. Then they trot out the tired old myth about the unemployed not wanting to work. We have to have cheap labour because otherwise we'd have to pay a bit more for strawberries. The horror! How awful!
Capitalism doesn't care about cultural diveristy. Freedom of movement would be lovely if it was a koombaya campfire song but it's not, it's about explotation of cheap labout to control wage demands. But the Remain campaign was happy to brand anybody who objected to expolitation as racist. It was bogus, especially when Jermey Clarkson, the UK's foremost casual racist, campaigned for Remain. Was he just empathetic for poor Estonians? No, he just didn't want to do a bit of paperwork to visit the Ferrari HQ.
It used to be that corporations would threaten to move a factory abroad if a trade union didn't back down on wage demands. Now they don't even have to pay for that, they just bring the cheap workers to the factory. The farms exploiting EU subsidies and using cheap labour to pick fruit are industrial farms, run by companies as corporate as Amazon.

Why do some people just never give up when you tell them no? What's the point in carrying it on until it becomes infuriating.
