And then it goes tits up.

Yep, I may have gloated about heading to the beach after work when the sun was blazing....

I arrived to a freezing sea mist covered wet sandy mess.

Meh. Someone is smug about it though

Anyone else had to eat humble pie today?

I'm known as Siri in my family, because I know everything (not actually, but more than anyone else, usually) and I can get a bit smug and gloaty with it. Occasionally, I don't know an answer to a question and someone else does.

I hate that

I didn't know I was feeling smug until I read your post Honey. Now I've realised I actually am smug but I'm trying to think my way out of it. I don't like humble pie, well pie in general, I don't like pastry that much

I am so with you on that one. No one calls me Siri though, it's usually Clever Clogs. Said disparagingly.

I've had in laws come round, or phone me, for me to settle a dispute. That was before they discovered the internet. I could have told them a load of rubbish and they would have believed me.

I pissed my husband off once by beating him at a Question of Sport, and I was in the kitchen for half of it.

I did my hair today, put it up, made an actual effort with it (anyone who has seen my hair will tell you it's usually a wild mess).

Anyway, i sit down and my 7 year old says to me. "Mummy, your hair makes you look like you have elf ears" and then he checks both ears, giggles and says "you really do".

Yeah. There went my smug good hair day vibe.
