Was once a classy affair sadly no longer looking at the state of some of them.

I worked in Ascot for several years; the ladies fashion sense got more outrageous each year!

How the men wear top hats and tails usually when its hot amazes me especially when its for hours at a time.

Traffic land

I've never been to Royal Ascot, but plenty of other race meets as it's only down the road from me.

I'm thrilled to see that jumpsuits are acceptable now, I much prefer trousers to dresses and would choose to wear one most likely. I already have one picked out for the Dubai Duty Free and Shergar Cup later in the summer. I'll just make sure not to squat and split it like I did a couple of years ago

Ah last year I made the mistake of driving home from work past Royal Ascot when the M4 was blocked and forgetting it was on.

Ladies in all their finery pissed out of their heads on Prosecco and staggering down the road in their high heels.. mildly amusing apart from the hour it took to drive about a mile

.

I've just re-read that and it doesn't sound very good! I was only squatting to rummage through the picnic basket!

Ok, Ok, it was mostly likely for the cool bag and a Prosecco top up!

Yes, I am, first time! I'm going for a sunshine and rainbows theme. Tilted purple sinamay fascinator with satin rainbow ribbon and multi colour butterflies. 50's style dress with a double petticoat underneath. Had it made specially with purple and rainbow colour tulle and finished with rainbow satin ribbon. It'll peep just below the hem of the dress
