butter on burger buns , good / bad idea? discuss

Good evening
Fabbers Friends and Forumites.
I had a rather splendid discussion with a rather gorgeous chum today about the merits of butter on a sausage sandwich. This led on to chatting about where and when not to butter some thing .
We both agreed that there is no place for butter or margarine on a burger bap.
You may have other ideas so what's your opinion?

I dunno - I was given a buttered bacon sandwich once, it was the saltiest thing ever...and added grease to bacon, which needs no addition of grease. |
