I'll probably get told off by my fellow North Walians, but you're probably better off with South because of the population;
but we know the North is really the best, and we really are that much friendlier   |

South Wales would be better and stick to locations along the m4 corridor, ranging from Newport to Swansea, anywhere in between is quite easy to get to.
Mid Wales is very rural you've got snowdonia and Brecon Beacons, its touristy but don't think it would be a good location to hold a party. (This type of party) |

It often depends on the type of venue you're looking for
Hotels, country house etc.
Travel between North to South is a bitch.
East-West is much easier along the main road corridors.
If you're going to go for Mid Wales then it's all about the venue and getting people to travel to you |

Less said about border raids the better
they'll start building all those bloody castles again 
Some of which have been converted into very nice venues

South Wales is best. I'm sure you'll get plenty of interest, the fab scene is pretty active here. From experience you need to invite 4 people to every number you need, unfortunately there are some dreamers and time wasters |
