The modern take on a freestyle is to rap off of the top of the head, when in fact it originated from a rap that was written about nothing in particular, hence it was free of style.
So can you freestyle? |

No but I can improvise music on an instrument (or vocalising a melody) or write poetry off the cuff pretty well. I just haven't got the spoken lyrical delivery for rapping as an art form. Sounds weird in a girlie West Country voice. Like a shit Vicky Pollard. |
