In conditions like this, I double my usual intake of between 2-3 litres

My rule is, drink till your urine is clear, on a normal day I have around 2 litre, days like today is probably go to 3.5

Exactly! I've recently purchased a new water bottle (Camelbak Eddy) and I'm drinking a lot more now than I used to.

Central

Keep your urine traw colored - if in doubt, find a field. Keep drinking, even just small sips.

King's Crustacean

Different amounts for different people and different conditions.

If you are in a cool place and moving little you'll need less than if you are in the great outdoors without shade.

Just drink.

Good advise but my local beer garden is very exposed so I may drink more than normal

I drink when I'm thirsty. There isn't any scientific evidence that says we need to drink the recommended 8 glasses. Apart from a very old (1950s i think), very small study. In fact, I'm pretty sure over hydration is worse for you than being a bit dehydrated.

It is for me as it affects my balance.

Yes. You just have a wee if you drink too much. If you're drinking at a normal pace.

"As a rule drink when you are thirsty, but at least a couple of litres"

I was taught during football coaching badges that you drink water before you get thirsty rather than when you are thirsty

Eithers better than nothing

Usually 2 litres a day but after the last 3 days with a new pleasure slave, I'm drained.

Much like a raisin
