To decide to cut the jungle today? I hate cutting grass at the best of times thanks to outrageous grass pollen hayfever. But when it's 2ft long and it's a million degrees outside .

On a plus side, I feel like a grrrrr man type geezer now because I did it with petrol powered tools.

No sooner do I finish, Mrs N whips her kit off and goes to sit outside. That's what I call a garden view

I'd have much rather mowed a lawn than shift a compost from the back garden to the front, two buckets at a time.

At least 17 trips. Over a ton of compost.

Not the weather for gardening.
