No matter the cost why would you pay for something you cant drink. Wouldnt matter if it cost 20p here if it tasted like vinegar i still wouldnt buy it

Things are priced differently according to what sells in a particular country.

Yes wine is cheap, but look how much u pay for a pint of watneys red barrel!

Go to Turkey or some place out of the EU and see the prices there right now. Even Greece in the EU as prices are tumbling for many things as nobody has money to buy anything.

Having been out there for quite a while recently I have to say supermarket shopping in Spain is swings and roundabouts, some things a bit cheaper some more expensive.

All in all it roughly levels out to be about the same over a shopping basket.

Lidl (and Aldi for that matter) offer some great value for money... not every item and I guess it is a bit trial and error but definitely worth in the face of prices rising faster than pay packages...

Totally agree, I sometimes do my Aldi or Lidl round to get what I need... then the things I cant find or where I prefer a particular brand I would look in other places. It just so makes sense as it is money straight in your pocket...

I used to work for a company that made products for various retailers. Many products were identical, but had some incredible mark-ups, depending on where they went. We, on the other hand, got paid peanuts, regardless of the retailer.

Lidl and Aldi both have websites where they announce forthcoming "deals", is worth 5 mins a week keeping an eye open for them.

Bit difficlut to read with both eyes closed.

There's an Android app for the Aldi deals of the week!

Lidl jams are excellent and have way more fruit in them than Hartleys...and dont get me started on Aldi's deals of the week.
