Oh! Without doubt! The "glass" of water they offered me was in actual fact served to me in a plastic!

I went to my doctor at the end of January and was referred to the breast clinic. Two weeks later I had my appointment to see a consultant and was seen by the doctor who did swabs, had a mammogram, had an ultrasound and was out within the hour, with tests results. A few weeks later I had my operation and was home recovering. Less than two months from start to finish.

On the other side of the coin, I sat up Moorfields for 4 hours with my sister this week, for her annual check up.

Aren't you supposed to get there 15 minutes before appointments?

I had to have a blood test a few months back. Was told by the nurse practitioner at my GP surgery to pop into the local hospital's blood clinic whenever I was free after 24 hours fasting, tell them that I hadn't eaten in over a day and give them the piece of paper she gave me. I did exactly that and was in and out in under 10 minutes. No appointment, no hassle. I wasn't even late for work and I had arranged cover just in case.

My psychiatrist was; it was quite funny, now I look back on it, asking him to keep repeating himself. Would have made a good comedy sketch, back in the 70s.

I know! It's bloody dreadful.

When I had the colonoscopy last year it was 19 days from seeing the GP, then the consultant and being in the gown with no back. To add insult to injury they only took me into the room at the exact time scheduled. Terrible service.

That's dreadful. My mammogram appointment was done in under 10 minutes. I had to go into a shop to use up the money I had put on the parking meter.
