Well kinda.....
My yr 11 son has his last GCSE tomorrow so finishes school at 11.30. They have a leavers assembly but parents can't go, which is probably a good thing because I'm sure I would cry.
I just can't believe it, I can remember the day he started so clearly. Where have those years gone?
Next step prom |

I know how you feel, my daughter turned 13 last November and it only seems 5 minutes ago I was cradling her in my arms. |

I know the feeling. My first born leave school in two weeks. His prom is the day before he leaves.
It doesn't seem 5 mins since the 15 hour screaming sessions with colic per day.
My mom always said, "blink and they'll soon be grown up"

My daughter has her last one tomorrow too, they have already done the shirt signing and stuff before the exams started, doesn't feel like she's leaving yet though as she's staying at the same school but in the 6th form sports academy there |

The one in my life has two more to do - one being one of the tricky triple science papers. They all left the physics paper saying it was hard.
The thing for me is that he pointed out that he has to be the outside arms on the hug now and when he reaches to hug me he has to reach down. |

my 15 yr old flatmate has just done his mocks...me and his mum were nearly in tears remembering the night she had him, sitting beside him in the hospital ,wondering what sort of boy he'd be, what sort of man he'd end up being...so far, she's done good! but it seems like yesterday.. |

Yeah, he'll be spoiled rotten by his nan and grandad at the weekends, but he'll be babysitting his half sister. He thinks he's gonna have it easy.... Oh how little does he know |

My son is also doing his last GCSE tomorrow so doesn't have to go in anymore. He is returning there in September for sixth form though so I'm probably not quite as emotional as I will be when he leaves there for good.

While you're all here... If your teenagers haven't had it, get them the MEN W (ACWY) vaccine after the exams. Protect them before they go off and start swapping stuff with lots of new people.

when they leave nursery they go to big school - when they leave juniors they go on to big school - after secondary they may go on to a bigger school - (college or uni) - my daughter says she will never leave as shes now a teacher - enjoy them whilst theyre little as the time does fly past way too quickly --- |

It's the new strain of Meningitis. Young people are losing limbs, becoming deaf, developing epilepsy and dying.

Been through it all with my lad he's now 27 but we are closer than ever just in different ways now. He's my best mate in fact no more than that as mates can and do let you down where as we 100% have each other's back. My daughter on the other hand has just turned 15 and by fuck I'm going to struggle letting her go when the time comes. Thanks lady I'd been trying not to think about it.... |

My son has had a man for something fairly recently, it could be that. I've just read on the nhs website their rolling that out to every child before the end of yr 13.
Thanks |

And we grew up to Quelch with his trusty cane, Billy Bunter and The Remove!

I know I didn't believe her. Those long exhausting hours when they are little too. Then next year he will turn 18. I'm like "what!" my boy will be able to vote. X |
