For me it's Stephen King novels - around two thirds of what I own of them are my step dad's vintage paperbacks, a couple were birthday presents and I'm currently picking up odd ones that I'm missing in secondhand shops.
My favourite is my 1986 5th edition hardback of It. |

It used to be star wars stuff amongst other sci go and fantasy bits, as well as football memorabilia.
But my Terry Pratchett novels and discworld related graphic novels and books are pretty much the only collection that I have really kept, maintained and still re-read. |

Books and more books
Koonz
King
McCarthy
George RR Martin
Hassell
And many more casual reads from Just William to classics.
My spare room is a big cluttery mess of books walking sticks (inherited them) and RAF memorabilia from my Grandad. And it all smells wonderful. |

"Five pound notes - I cash them in in March every year and that usually covers my council tax and car insurance for the year ahead.... "
Thought I was only one that did that.
I only started when the new ones came out, saved my first, then my second, then decided to save them. Now have OCD
Every £5 nite given me, I've had to put in a different pocket and save it. I still have every one, ever placed in my hands :D |

"I collect rocks.
My dream is to have a beautiful wooden library and decorate it with my rock collection."
Did you write that strongly worded letter to the museum in the end?
I've never seen anyone so furious.

The two materials complement each other.
I've got a rock (well, stones) collection but I've stopped adding to it. |

Not yet. But I was there again today and it has compounded my anger just seeing it again. |

I do. Yes, I know - very sad. Just counted 36 of the little green buggers but I don't think a single one of them, is worth more than face value.
As for 'actual' collections: Old coins, model railway stuff and r/c model aircraft. |

I collect Tolkien memorabilia.
I've always been a huge fan of Tolkien since before I can even remember and his work has been a huge part of my life - in fact I don't know who I would be without the lessons behind his work, so I'm very passionate about that collection. |
