Its not easy to switch your brain off.... But doing something repetitive can help, like listing things, I've used listing all 50 American states before as a mind-calming tool.

Work too,work with brain injuries,someone phoned sick and I put my head down for 4 hours and doing a 24 straight shift... think i need to put the kettle on
