Do you flash strangers to warn of speed cameras up ahead?

Seems like not many people do this?

If you mean mobile units - then yes I do if in a position to do so.

There was a story in the news a couple of years ago though about someone getting done for doing so.

No I don't.... if someone is intentionally speeding I have no sympathy for them if they get caught
