Right last month I scratched a car in a private car park round the back of a building where my daughter does a class. It was my back wheel arch against their back wheel arch. I left a note under the windscreen (cos there were cameras there anyway) plus it's a place I got to every week. I said to call me which they did and they were happy for me to pay for the repair.
Was literally a scratch no dent and I had one of those mobile repair people quote it (£180) then go out to do it. Anyway the owners of the car were happy to wait till the end of the month (may pay) the mobile repair person said he was happy to take half the money that pay and half next pay cos I went to give it all to him and had already said emote hand in need to wait till end of the month cos I'm skint so he took half and said he'd wait.
Literally just had this text message off the guy I'll copy and paste it and tell me what you think he's implying
Hiya ******, hope you are ok? Look, I've been thinking about the rest of the bill for ******'s car .... I don't know if there's any other way of paying it back without taking money off you, as I feel awful taking your money. Let me know if you can think of anything.
1) why text this late
2) why feel awful when you've already given a quote which I was happy to accept
3) what other way can you pay someone without money, cookies? Cakes? |

I can only guess he doesn't know you very well .
Why do I say this ?
Well unless he's particularly well endowed , and is happy to never look at , talk , or interact with another woman again , he surely wouldn't be hoping for a shag would he ? |

He's definitely not on the forum, even if he's on Fab.

I just said don't worry I'll pay you the rest a week tomorrow, I met him in town last week which is a good job, he doesn't have my address either.
Makes me think now am I giving off some weird vibe that I want people to shag me or what. When I was in contact leading up to him doing the repair he had said can't your husband sort it for you (cos I was explaining how busy I was and stuff) I said no I don't have a husband (because that's the truth) wasn't trying to come on to him or fuck all.

today i saw another topic where a guy got a thanks message off a woman and thought it might be a come on, seems like women don't have to say much for some men to wonder if they're being approached for sex. |

"Well I don't know too much about the cost of that kind of repair but I did think £180 sounded like a lot! Maybe he added on a bit, now feels bad and is obviously trying his luck!! " True about the cost...depending on the damage and colour, a paint 'smart repair' is usually around £45 + vat

Almost 30 of that was vat and tax and he was the cheaper of the two mobile people that went out and quoted me. Wasn't my car to do and didn't want to inconvenience the car owner by having to take the car to a garage so sent the mobile repair people to repair it on her works premises. Mobile people are known to be a bit dearer than a garage. Plus wanted it done cos it was stressing me out. |

Was only a little car. Fiat 500 in the mocha browny colour. It was quite a big scrape, it covered the whole length of the wheel arch. |

I thought the guy was being genuine when i read that. Maybe im naive. He might not have been thinking about any sexual favours at all so .. lets not assume.
That said the guys on this thread think he was suggesting that.
Hmm |

" Unfortunately a female will sometimes get taken advantage of in this situation. Not right, but it does happen. You did the right thing all round though and understandably wanted it done and dusted asap so none of what's happened is your fault. |

"He was weighing up his option the probability of sex, pay and you end contact. Sex and you'll have someone calling you at the time you mentioned above.
What else could he have possibly meant?"
He needs his socks darned?

It's reasonable to assume he is seeking a sexual interaction ...however we are using the word assume.
I agree with other posters ...respond and say yes I am skilled at........(what ever u r skilled at, art, cooking, accountancy, admin, design etc.) and I suggest those. Answer his question.
His response will indicate his thoughts.

Had you talked about work you'd done in the past cleaner etc?
Might be he's depressingly staring at a mountain of dishes and thinking it's worth the notes lol |

"I'm saying nothing. I got my piercing for the price of a blow job.
PTU xxx "
I will never understand when people decide to prostitute themselves for less than an average street walker for "free" things.

Assumptions are the mother of all fuck ups.
Now, from personal experience when I was doing jobs I'd often trade work for services. Admittedly they'd be for other trades but still, job for a job and all that. It's not that uncommon a practice at all
But with that, I know what it's also like working and not getting paid. World doesn't run on favours. So I'd advise paying him, even if he does feel guilty. BUT if you want to make a friend make him some chilli or some freezable munch, tub it up and aye. Some home made ready meals are always a treat. |
