So, I was on my bicycle this evening, cracking on, as you do, down a single track lane. When up ahead i spotted some horse riders! 2 ladies riding, one of them leading yet another horse! Blocking the entire road! So i slowed down to give them time to sort their shit out... they were about 60 yds away i guess. Do you know what they did? Pulled over into a field entrance and waved me on! The cheek! So i started to increase my speed again, when i heard a bloody CAR coming up behind me! Well! I thought to myself "Clem old buddy, this bloody car driver can't see those bloody horses, i best tell them to slow up a bit!" So i stuck my arm out and moved it up and down, slowly and deliberately. Do you know what the driver did? Fucking slowed down! That's what!
By this point i was at the horses, do you know what they said to me?! "Thanks, have a lovely evening!" Cheeky bitch! So i replied with a "Thank you! And you!"  . Just a few yards down the lane there was a widening so i slowed and moved over to let the flipping car go. Any idea what that rascal had the brass neck to do to me?! Give me a cheery wave that's what!
It was a very pleasant ride. |
