Whenever those in the public eye have a health scare they more often than not become involved in fund raising for that cause. Which is absolutely brilliant. There are a lot of charities set up by the ordinary Joe too - you just have to look at all of the charity runs and all of the messages on their tee shirts. for loved ones they loved and lost.
Celebs get more publicity due to the nature of their jobs end up doing the usual sofa interviews to get the message across and raise awareness - again brilliant.
Im not being trivial, but after his bowel cancer scare I find it difficult to take Chris Evans seriously and although he's giving out a great message - its coming from his face and I'm waiting for him to make a joke about it.
Its not just this its certain newsreaders too. They look so glamorous and cool I find it hard to believe what they're saying. I'd also trust any weather reporter in glasses and a shirt over a woman in a skimpy dress.
When the queen dies I am sure all live broadcasts will be immediately halted to bring the news. I just hope it isn't in the middle of an Ant and Dec prog... |

You'd be surprised with the celebs and diseases thing though.
Because I have a condition and you often read on Forums/Message Boards "I wish (fill in the name of a well-known celeb) would get it so that we would get the publicity and focus on our ailment".
Recently there were loads of posts about an actress from "Glee" I think it was who had come down with it and was talking about how it had affected her. |

Being inquisitive and not having a clue what or who Glee is I googled - Glee illness - I found that the cast of some american cheerleader thing had all come down with tonsilitis! You have to love google |
