This should cause a stir this morning.
What would you say is the worst car out there, looks wise or just in general.
The Fiat Multipla has to be up there with the Nissan Juke, styled by Stevie Wonder.
The ad for the new Vauxhall Insignia makes us laugh, like a CEO of any company is going to drive one.....really....delusional. |

I don't think there is such a thing as a bad car......
Not everyone can afford to be choosy and so long as a car meets the motoring requirements of the owner it must therefore be a good car..... |

Probably the worst car is anything aspirational that makes people spend money they don't really have to impress others they don't know. And if they did know, they wouldn't even like.
It's a way of getting around and it's nice if it reflects your personality a bit, but getting into debt with something that loses money is mad. |

Most things in life are Mundain and boring.
Agree totally on the debt part though, why would anyone pay interest on something that is depreciating as quickly as cars do?
We would never pay finance on anything, let alone a car.
Our motto, if you can't afford it, don't have it! |

Not sure about worst car out there, but certainly the worst car I have ever driven is the hateful Toyota Yaris currently sat on my driveway alongside the best car I've ever owned.
This is a car that I have been looking after fir an elderly relative since sge went into a care home a few years ago (who doesn't want it sold until she dies) and got me out of trouble when I had a mechanical issue with mine.
It has an awfuo chassis, which is borderline dangerous in the wet, the gearchange (technically a manual but with autimatic control - so drives like an auto) is awful - very jerky when cold and I can not stand the centrally mounted instrument cluster. I'm a driver. I want my instruments in front of me! |

My saxo, both of the back doors were held shut with rope, the exhaust was notorious for just falling off, my horn had split and fallen out, and the windscreen was cracked down the middle when I went smashing into a sheep because the horn had previously fallen out.
Best car ever |

"my first car was on one of those published lists of the 10 worst cars - morris ital - i loved it "
I inherited a Morris marina when I was 16. I thought it would be super cool to fix up as a classic. Never really dedicated much time to it and it was certainly the worst car in the sixth form car park.. |

Range Rover Sport.
We got it from a dealer with demonstration mialage.
Within weeks it had a least £20,000 worth of issues from the engine, gearbox and suspension.
Eventually got them to take it back and get a refund.
Bought an A4 Sline Diesel and never looked back. |

The worst car in the world is mine without doubt. A 1.2 corsa with suspension so hard it rattles your teeth over every pebble on the road, the tyres rub on the arches at the slightest touch of the steering, it burns more oil than petrol and has got that bad that I use second hand oil from the local garage as 5ltr a month was getting expensive. But it cost me £200 with 12 months mot and has passed 3 mot since and I've not spent a penny on it, although I'm not holding out much hope for this year's |

The FSO you spoke of was a 125p from polinez fuck that was an awesome car as was the Renault 4. morris ital was so bad that Pininfarina don't even list it in their history book it's that embarrassing. The Alfasud didn't last long enough before it rusted for anyone to find out if it was a good car or not. BUT the worst car ever made has to go to.......... the Daewoo/Chevrolet Matiz. EVERYTHING about it is absolutely shite!!! |

Don't know about the worst but I can tell you the best car I`ve ever had - it's the one I `ve just bought - Ford Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost - simply amazing!
I`ve had a lot of "posh" company cars over the years - but none compare with this. Drives like a 2 litre - smooth as silk and amazing economy (and no I don't work for a Ford dealership - lol). |

LOL I have to agree with you on that the Citroen cactus is fooking ugly. It's as if the car got to the end of production line and stores found bins full of rubber interior floor mats left over so the factory management told them to stick them on the outside of the doors. |

I had an Austin Allegro off my parents as a surprise for my 17th birthday. I quickly realised I wasn't that desperate to learn how to drive, so I sold it and bought my first decent hi-fi.
I've probably subsequently spent more money on hi-fi than cars! |

Ah yes, a forgotten gem: in my brief time in the motor trade it was known as the Allaggro, along with the Mont-no-go. Actually, the worst car I ever had - and it was a shame as it was really comfortable and drove well (when it worked) - was an '07 Laguna - it failed it's first MOT on something like 34 points but it's finest feature was the electrics...the remote release boot worked well...but not half way down the M5 with two spaniels in the back...and as for the light sensitive headlights (you guessed: on in the bright sunlight, off at night) and rain sensitive wipers (yep, guess again...). The mechanic actually said to me 'it's a really complex car...from a company not known for such things...' |

My sister had an early Laguna as a company car and all the electrics quit (everything, the lot) when she was doing 70mph on the motorway. Not only did Renault send a recovery vehicle but a load of science boffins in white coats turned up to find out what was wrong too!
Along with the Alfa she had that wouldn't start or release the seat belts if she parked on a hill. Alfa's advice? Let it roll until it's on the flat! |

You've never owned an espace then.
Looks shit.
Drives shit.
If it could go wrong it did go wrong.
Things broke faster than I could get them fixed and then broke again soon after.
Even if you were given it free it would try to bankrupt you. |
