Although the ecoboost is pretty impressive for a 1.0.

Not sure how reliable they will be a few years down the line after they've been ragged around, lot of demand on a small engine....

With Hybrids, companies like Peugeot rent you the batteries so you are paying in advance for getting them replaced when they reach the 4-5 year age.

"With Hybrids, companies like Peugeot rent you the batteries so you are paying in advance for getting them replaced when they reach the 4-5 year age.

Very 'smart', easy way of making money out of a totally unaware customer! Shame companies have to lie really like that "

Clever marketing but it will all end up in court eventually, ask Mitsubishi with their PHEV.

A lot of individuals aren't aware just how far they can take these companies though, and usually settle for a small compensation

Electric cars are all good as they tick the Green box!

In reality they don't.

Batteries are hideous to manufacture, hard to dispose of and as we said earlier in these cars, bloody expensive.

Charging them using power station supplied energy is no better than running a clean petrol engine.

Its just another way of ripping us off.

Had anyone heard of the Carbon footprint 20 years ago?

Its just a spin doctor employed to make us pay more tax, as always but this time using the trendy "Green" badge!

Couldn't agree more! A lot of things nowadays are to squeeze every penny out of us sadly

The charging stations aren't exactly easy to locate either so it's such a pain!

I mean talk about more money out of us, I've spent nearly £40,000 on my degree yet we still have to pay for everything we print

Great feeling buying a new car. When I bought my Range Rover I had a few years ago brand new it was great I felt so proud in the showroom as despite how I look I was treated with utmost respect by the salesman.

It's always a good plan to take my absolutely disinterested better half... the salesmen always have a good perv at the heels and micro shorts that they forget about trying to fleece us!

Salesmen are like that, they do try and get a sale! If I was one personally I'd treat customers with an awful lot of respect and be polite as possible!

Yes I bet, must admit cars of that calibre are certainly on my to do list! Must be successful first! What're the other 4?

Not the worst list to have

Would always be a tough choice! I personally would take the R8

Mrs M had a blast in our friends SVR Jag F Type 4WD, she said it felt like it wanted to rip its tyres off when it tore around the island by our house.

She wants one!

Guess what, she's not having one!, lol

Good choice... The performance of the r8 is nuts.I'm leaning towards the svr though, keep thinking does a 2 seater sports car scream mid life crisis...svr performance is fantastic but it's also got 4 doors and a boot

If I was 10 years younger I'd get the r8

Yes I guess! Perhaps my age and responsibilities reflect in that choice! The performance of the svr along with the practicality of it does seem a good choice! You'd have done brilliantly to be 10 years younger and could afford an R8 lol!

I feel rather lucky currently that I've only driven my first car for the previous years, so the excitement for a new one is silly. First test drive today

Car mad here, but had my current vehicle for 14 years - mainly because it is so awesome. When I do get a new one (i'm loathed to say replace it - because I intend to pass it down to my son - who is also a car nut) it will be a slightly newer version with the bigger engine.

Oh, and they've been out of production for years, but there is absolutely nothing out there currently that looks as good. I've certainly fallen for this particular car line.

That said, I am taking a car out for a test drive on Saturday, but have no intention of buying it
