Going to the loo in the middle of the night, coming back to the bedroom, then jumping into bed from about 2 feet away so the monsters under the bed can't grab my feet 
Yes, I have caught meself doing that several times recently! |

Feckin worse thing is.... I leap into the bed to stop the monsters grabbing me only to find one hell of a scary fecker lying in it  |

Get a blue fluffy blanket- throw it over the bogeyman's head- if you can't see them, they don't exist....if they can't see themselves....they don't exist.......existential nightmare! |

yep the monster under the bed is a scary one. He's in cahoots with the guy who lives on the landing and just as you open your bedroom door grabs you in the darkness. He is very friendly with the one who is following you down the stairs so you have to jump the last few to get away. They all live with the guys who stand in your garden in the dark watching you make tea in the kitchen that only disappear when you close the blinds....
