mcafee is free on play store. I put that on a tablet, seems to work fine.

I've used avast free version on pc for years works very well

Might be worth seeing if they do a mobile version

Amazon kindle run their own anti virus software in the background.on my 4th kindle tablet,never had a problem.

If you buy Norton for your PC/Laptop you can also get AV for your tablets.
