When you send a message and you see it's unread after a few days do you message again or not? I understand that women get a lot of messages per day and yours might have been overlooked....but do you message again or not as your message might not have been read because that person doesn't like the look of you?

Nope, one message and that's that. If it goes unread for a few days then I just delete it from my sent box. If it's read and deleted then you have your answer, they're not interested. Why flog a dead horse, that just pisses them off. Concentrate on the ones that want to speak to you rather than those that don't. |

If you delete the message after you've sent it does that make the 'you mailed them (insert number of) days ago' disappear if you go on their profile again |

Never send an other message, never insist too much imo, let the time do his thing (:
But that's because i hate people being too pushy, so i'm not being pushy at all. |

If they don't read it, did you really mail them in the first place? |

I would not send another message. It is your remit to send a message.. what the receiver does with it.. open.. delete etc is down to them.
By sending another message one can come across as a nuisance. |

Think it probably depends.. If it's relevant to a change in status, a meet request or profile alteration, I don't see the problem.
There are always the option of filters, and 'no thanks' messages..

If I don't reply to a message usually it's because:
1. It genuinely has slipped off the page.
2. I've looked at their profile and seen they're too far away or something.
3. It's a cock avatar.
Sending a second message if 2 or 3 applied would make me even less likely to reply because it's obvious they haven't read my profile! |

I sometimes have messages sit unread for days before i read them. If I got a second in that time I definitely wouldn't reply. I would like to meet someone with patience who appreciates that just because im on fab it doesn't mean ill be dealing with messages. |

This! Especially as there are also two of us wanting to read and consider. If someone is going to be demanding about replies to messages how will they be if we suggest meeting?
Save your sanity and concentrate on your inbox rather than your outbox. |

Just send it and leave it. After a week it will get deleted and the person's profile will state. "Opps I just deleted 20 million messages by mistake" - Yer of course you did..... |

One introduction message is more than plenty, nothing to stop you messaging again commenting on a pic or status or forum topic in the future though. Youre probably more likely to get a reply from those. |

"Nope.
One message, read or unread, if she's been online since it gets deleted and forgotten about.
Ahhh is this why I can go to bed with 850 unread messages and wake up with 840?"
if they delete the message they are only deleting it from their sent box - it will still be in your received box.. another cant delete from your received box. ( i know - i checked this between 2 profiles ) |

Take it as read (pun intended) that she either isn't interested after looking at your profile or is inundated. Or possibly did read it and marked it as unread afterwards. Either way, best not to persist. |

I'm guilty of not replying to all messages. Honestly, I just don't have the time as receive so many. I tend to look at messages with attachments first. I'd say a rule of thumb would be if your message is read and deleted, there is no interest. However, if you didn't attach a face pic with a first message, then I guess one more attempt might be worth it with a nice pic. Most women need something to look at as well as words |

"The best thing to do is send your message and delete the sent message and then you do not have to worry. The worst thing you want to appear is needy and or desperate. Just wait for a reply."

"It might just be "mark unread"?
I do this quite a lot because it tends to stop people messaging again! "
Lol..it'll appears read on the other end..sorry
But its the same cos, as example me, if I see you've read but haven't replied for sometimes means you're not interested anyway. Though luck and I move on |
