Try and avoid it like the plague. It's a complete nightmare for the self employed and interim.

I just insist on being put on payroll for anything over 1 month. It deals with the issue without me having to do anything.

Government,ie big business,wanted 'flexible' workforce,this then grew to a size that's hard for hmrc to accurately police,ie sting as easily as PAYE,also the opportunity for actual workers to take advantage of the tax system almost in the way MP's and business 'leaders' do is too much for them to bare so they decide 'flexible',workforce requires reining in |
