Guilt

Im just wondering about all the reporters for various TV companies who are reporting on the terrible East Africa crisis, they must feel awful when they do their broadcasts knowing they are fed and watered and there are others dying around them and people who truly have nothing.

Do they bring with them water and food supplies for the communities they film in or just for themselves? I accept that the journalists are doing a brilliant job in making other people aware of the crisis but it must be a kick in the teeth for the vicims of this that a health person can get welcomed into the community and leave only to return to a lifestyle of indulgence. Id feel exceptionally guilty if i was the reporter.. must be tough

I would just guess that they must be able to switch off (so to speak) same as undertakers and police at a murder scene etc.

I feel guilty too. It breaks my heart to imagine what it must be to see your children starving and gradually fading away in front of you and you are powerless to help. So cruel.

What the reporters do on issues like Africa must pull at their heart strings but them doing what they do must give them a sense that they are dong their part to get the message out around the world that people need help.
