...to cast my vote.

Whichever of the political parties you're rooting for, make sure you use your democratic right and cast your vote.

Call me old fashioned but I'm of the opinion that if 6 out of 10 friends want to eat Indian and 4 don't... we shouldn't go to an Indian restaurant. If a vote is worth anything it should have an effect... it should count for something.

In the referendum, approximately half of the country voted to leave and half voted to stay. The democratic result of that should be a very soft brexit or half brexit. But instead, as this country has been used to for many years now, the winner silences and ignores the voice of the loser... even if they only won by one vote. That's not what my ancestors fought for. The job is half done and electoral reform is needed to complete it imo

Interesting analogy.

The trouble being at some point someone has to make a decision. I fully believe in PR but the party(ies) that advocate it would never bring it in if they got power because they would end up with less seats than they had. Political self interest is a cancer in this country.
