Is it bad form to surf profiles?

Messaged a couple with similar interests to us I found from surfing friends of friends profiles.
They asked how I found them so I said, friends of friends surfing.
They messaged back, quite angry, and said basically that they dont like people who surf profiles.
Is it me..or is that the point of a profile?

Personally cant see owt wrong in that lol
Its like when folk moan about look at me profiles in the forums
I was always of the understanding that that that's the whole point of a profile on a swinging site
I could however be wrong xx  |

It did make me cross, or should I say embarrased that they though I was "seedy" or something.

Fancy daring ta look at ya friends verifications ta find genuine meets

it is... i can also see where there other couple is coming from because i know of friends that have met me.. and then had mail saying
"well you have met him, so I am sure you will meet me"..
or used it to abuse
"well you met him, why on earth will you not meet me"
when i heard people were using it like this my first reaction for a while was to not show meets and friends lists...... |

it is... i can also see where there other couple is coming from because i know of friends that have met me.. and then had mail saying
"well you have met him, so I am sure you will meet me"..

We would Never ever do anything like that, always try to be polite! and we answer the majority of messages if only to say thanks but no thanks! |

only way this would annoy me is if the person who messaged deliberatly named dropped the mutual friend trying to use it as a "pass" for a meet . i had it just recently where the fem said ohh as "X" said you were a lovely person thought you be ideal for a last minute meet .they got told i need to suss people out for myself and just because i got on with "x" doesnt mean theyd be my type .
dont see why anyone has to avoid messaging a person just because they have a mutual friend but tact and discretion a must |

.. but being on the other end of it and seeing how it can be used against others I can understand that people can be twitchy..... I was horrified when I heard about it... I know people who have tried to use my name to get meets in the past |

I couldn't and wouldn't tell them who it was, due to the delay in the reply I couldn't remember anyway! Discretion is everything! |
