What's the most disgusting thing you have discovered in a hotel room?
SS was booked into a, supposedly, '4' star establishment in Birmingham to discover that a previous occupant had used the kettle to heat soup.
Bleugh!

To be fair that's not really something the housemaids would check. Unless there was soup on the outside of the kettle, they'd normally just give the outside of it a wipe over and replace cups/tea/coffee/sugar etc.
I'd be billing the previous person for a new kettle! |

Not quite disgusting, more just worrying but I was in a hotel in Kazakhstan in which the lift had its maximum occupants numbers crossed out from 10 to 8, then 8 to 6, then 6 to 4, finally 4 to 2.
Needles to say I took the stairs. |

Used condoms and tissue under the bed and in the bedside drawer, in a hotel in Mozambique. Then after hearing human moans and going on a bit of a discovery mission, I realised it was one of those 'pay by the hour' establishments.
Put my ear plugs in and went to sleep. |
