So how close is too close? We are often tempted by the who's near feature, but try to meet from a bit further away, on the basis we don't want to be in our local and bump into previous meets lol

It's never bothered me in all honesty. If I bump into someone then I'll just simply act like I don't know them and I make that much clear

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I don't have a problem with possibly seeing any meet in a pub. I once had a meet with a guy two streets away from me. I mainly use the 'Who's Near' function for when I am travelling though.

I've met with people near and far. If I see a "one off" or someone I've only recently met I won't let on...other than maybe we catch each other's eye.

With others I've spent longer with or met more than once or twice it always seems fine to say hi as tho we are passing acquaintances.

A few we say hi and act as friends....I've introduced to and been introduced to vanilla friends and sometimes family members....it's rare people ask how you met.

I really, really don't see a problem here!

Reminds me of one person I met on here and I met their vanilla friend, who asked how we met. I couldn't even say work cos the two had worked together for years. I just said just through friends

I'm not that bothered either to be honest.

I have met a couple of people that live nearby with no problems x
