"I personally don't lie about my age but I completely understand why, it's about perception and society. It's also a huge issue for most in this environment  "
I still don't get why people bother lying at all on here. Not like you won't be found out eventually. Even the most adept story tellers trip themselves up. |

I'm 52 next month, I don't see no point lying. I'm actually quite happy with my age, think I'm old enough to be happy with who I am but young enough to enjoy myself still x |

I haven't lied about my age since I was a teenager going into pubs before I was 18, and even then it was by omission. For me there is no point. I'm not any more attractive or desirable by knocking a few years off.

I'm 34 and I've never felt the need to lie about my age. Well apart from when I was 17 to get into clubs...
I actually couldn't wait to turn 30 in the hopes people would start to take me seriously. Then I remembered I don't even take myself seriously |

On here I know of someone who takes off 10 years and have had men take off and add years, so they fit into age ranges. They confess when asked. |

No the worst one is when they send you a pic of their son and pretend it's them then when you meet them suddenly they have aged 20 year, recieding hair and put on 3 or 4 stone

We are busy signing up to get a free Parker Pen or a Radio clock alarm with all the life insurance companies we can find and that is just for enquiring...yipee
We dont care if we are above people age limit..Forms are the way forward for us |

Never occurred to me to create a fab age, I'm as old as I say I am and pretty comfy with that. (Less comfy with being told my photos must be ten years old when I took the most recent only yesterday, but some people just need a refresher course at charm school I guess).

I am coming up for 45 in a couple of months...I don't think I have lied about my age since I was a teenager...I am quite happy being this age...feel and look better than I ever did in my 20s and 30s tbh so what's not to be happy about?  |

I have a fab age because I don't see the need to disclose my real age to all and sundry. My pics are real though so if you don't think I look the age I claim to be, you have the choice not to meet me ...if it's that big a deal. |

There's a few that do this, and some of them are deluding themselves.
I don't see the point in lying...like the OP my birthday on here is slightly earlier than in reality. I get messages from guys who admit they've tweaked their DOBs to get past my filters, and the excuse "it's only a few years" has worn thin |

If I was to lie about my age I would say I was older on here, as it's harder for youngsters on here (in my area anyway). I couldn't possibly get away with it though because my baby face would give it away. |

I'm out by 1 year on my profile but only as a safeguard.
Im told i don't look/act my real age so maybe i could get away with taking ten years off! But then why would i?
I'm proud of what I've achieved in my 45 years and I like others to see the real me, not pictures from years ago or that I'm not who they thought i was.

I'm 52 and have never thought to lie about that - you either like the look of me, or you don't, regardless of how old I am. Admittedly, people who *do* lie could say the same thing I suppose but in an environment where I personally feel trust is important, I'd just rather be honest and hope that others were honest with me too. |

My difficulty is that I have always been considered older than I am.
When I had my 30th birthday party a few friends turned up with happy 40th cards. Initially I thought that they were taking the proverbial but it transpired they thought they had misheard 30th and genuinely thought I was 40.
