It may well be, but at the moment it is supposition. They are still trying to establish what has happened and the police are saying they are aware of the social media speculation but aren't confirming any of it until they know what has happened.

Partly agree. Agree that hate cannot drive out hate.

But I disagree that only love is the answer. That alone won't stop terrorist atrocities / activity irrespective of the perpetrator / cause.

Trouble is, I don't know what the answer is.

Easy! Just ask them, then do that."

I don't think that's the case here, or indeed in recent history, but the actions of politicians certainly have put recent world events, like the rise in terror attacks, in motion.

Regardless, it's the key issue of our era, and we need to work out how to overcome it.

Unfortunately the answer isn't very easy to achieve because most of us aren't Muslim. And most of us don't want sharia law.

Most people don't want Sharia law, Muslim or not.

And, nor will we, given that less than one in ten of us are Muslim, and of those, a minority want sharia law.

"Why are the police having to tell people so many times to move away from the area? What is wrong with them!

Aside from the inevitable number of looky-loos, there will be people there who have family/friends in the area. Their concern for their wellbeing will override any sense of self-preservation... It must be awful to feel so bewildered and helpless "

Oh I appreciate that and you can certainly recognise the people in that situation but I'm talking about the people stood recording the action as a Police Officer shouts at them to move. I would take the advice offered and move away because nobody knows the full extent of it yet.

Whilst nothing has yet been confirmed there are videos on Twitter of armed police in a standoff with one gentleman who *appears* to be wearing Muslim attire. As I say NOT confirmed officially but an eye-witness video on Twitter.

Sheep get slaughtered - the "peaceful" 'hug me' muslim would garner more credibility if he had done the same in Cairo saying he was a Coptic Christian, or did the same in Amman saying he was a jew or the same in Baghdad saying he was American.

Islam is not a two way street it discriminates against and terrorises people in every single country it controls without exception and it exports that discrimination and terror to every country where it has large populations.

Moreover, it potentially puts others' lives at risk, because it adds to the general uncertainty and confusion.

But singling out religions when things like this happen is ridiculous. I could righteously stone every single Fab user (and would get stoned myself) if I adhered to a literal reading of the Old Testament.

the thing about terrorists is, they are not an army, they don't wear uniforms, they blend in and can be anyone.

They don't come from a specific town, city or country. They are all driven by an idea and ideas are contagious and bulletproof

That's why the war on terror will not end for a very long time

Its because we are a weak vulnerable country.

We're really not.

Please enlighten me. I'd love to hear"

Afghanistan is weak. Libya is weak. Bangladesh is weak.

We have a large, modern military, a sophisticated police force (which were on the scene at London Bridge in two minutes), and a robust, fair judicial system, largely free of corruption.

Whilst attacks like the ones tonight are awful, they are nothing compared to what happen abroad. This is somewhat routine in Kabul, Tripoli or Dhaka.

"Sheep get slaughtered - the "peaceful" 'hug me' muslim would garner more credibility if he had done the same in Cairo saying he was a Coptic Christian, or did the same in Amman saying he was a jew or the same in Baghdad saying he was American.

Islam is not a two way street it discriminates against and terrorises people in every single country it controls without exception and it exports that discrimination and terror to every country where it has large populations.

People who hold out the hand of friendship to a rabid dog are going to get it bitten.

Its not all of Islam, just the extremists

So the murder of Coptic Christians in Egypt has nothing to do with Islam ? The abduction of schoolgirls in Nigeria - nothing to do with islam ? The execution of a woman for getting being assaulted - nothing to do with Islam ?

.

Sorry I don't buy it - it is a desperate ideology on a par with any other form of fascism.

People are discriminated against and harassed, for being who they are in every single country where Islam reigns - that is the true face of Islam.

The people that do these things do NOT follow the teachings of Islam. .

I'm your opinion, in there opinion they do

What ?"

I'm guessing "in your opinion, in their opinion they do" ( follow islam).

In your opinion they don't follow Islam, in there opinion they do?.

Highlighting what you write doesn't make it factual or any less of an opinion.

You can find imams that say they do and they don't, you can find Muslims that say they do and they don't... Unless Allah himself turns up and clarifies nobody actually knows either way
