Apparently, I have an IQ of 127.
140+ is considered to be genius or near genius, 120-140 is very superior intelligence.
I'll settle for that  
Google 'free-iqtest' if you're so inclined to find out yours.

Terman's classification was anyone under 70 was of 'Definate feeble-mindedness'.
Weschler's classification was 65 and under means 'defective'.
Today, under 70 indicates retardation, but there are varying degrees of it:
50-69 Mild
35-49 Moderate
20-34 Severe
- 20 Profound |

according to that its 148... which means I have lost some since the last time it was tested..
Registered member of mensa.. iq normally testing at about 153.
They do say to much sex can affect your brain..

I did the first test that came up. I don't know if all tests are identical but one would assume the questions are of similar levels of difficulty. |

From the MENSA site..
As different IQ tests were developed, each was given its own scoring system. Therefore, an IQ of 150 is a meaningless claim unless you know the actual test which was used. In order to compare one IQ test against another, the scores are converted to 'percentiles', i.e. where a person's score falls in comparison to the rest of the population by percentage. Mensa offers membership to anyone whose IQ score places them within the top two per cent of the population, no matter which approved test was used.
A top 2% mark in any of these frequently used tests below qualifies you for entry to Mensa. The minimum test mark to get into Mensa is:
•Cattell III B - 148
•Culture Fair - 132
•Ravens Advanced Matrices - 135
•Ravens Standard Matrices - 131
•Wechsler Scales - 132

Thanks for that Filthy. The test I took returned 127 which fell into the 96 percentile range. Not quite Mensa but then I'm not that keen on theology discussions in darkened library basements anyway.

dont know wasnt intelligent enough to pick test that doesnt need a text message to tell me however enough common not to ask for results that going to cost a packet |

Last year Teresa Lewis was first woman in America to be executed in the last 5 years. Apparently she could have been spared execution if she had an IQ level below 70. Hers was 72.
You have to question the intelligence of someone who passes an IQ test knowing full well that if they do they'll be executed. |

On the one I took just now I got 128. I've got 148 and 162 in other "official" ones too, so I don't trust any result to be honest.
I even got 204 in one I did when I was 14, but that was in The Sun newspaper so I'd hardly call that a good form of judgement.... |

I've done a few of the tests and scored around 80 - 95.
But then who the hell deals with "guess the next domino in sequence" in real life??
On a few more, I got through, then could not send away for the results as my Mobile doesn't support messages to these companies, so I guess that makes me a total "thicko"
Over the years, I've been subjected to these Psychometric tests before. Just what the effing hell are they all about?
And to give you an idea about qualifying for a job, when I did my SIA Licence application 4 years ago, I was marked down on one of the answers, but I knew I was correct! When I queried it with the Trainers, their response was, "Yes, we know about that question; despite you knowing what the correct answer is, please mark the box for answer option 2 (which we know is incorrect!), 'cos if you don't, you won't pass!" |

Pray, please tell me what you do when, or if, you ever go to a library and need to find a specific book?
Do you try to track it down among the thousands of books on the shelves only to find after fruitless hours of looking that it isn't stocked, or would it be far easier to ask someone who has the information indexed and at hand?
That's all Google is. A library. A big one. So why belittle people who use it to find information? Are they supposed to hold in their heads every single piece of information that's ever been disseminated by anyone about anything? |

Years ago, during an interview, I was told I'd have to complete some 'tests' which turned out to be of a Psychometric type.
Some of the questions were of the kind, "Identify the black shape on the page and write down what it signifies to you!"
I recall writing "ink blot" but was hauled over the coals, as supposedly some "arty farty expert" had deduced that it was a cloud, or two cows shagging or whatever!
Then I was told afterwards that the results of these 'tests' had no bearing on my success or failure of getting the job! so, if that was correct, why put that list of bleeding nonsensical tripe in front of candidates |
