One of the new words to enter the dictionary recently was 'Stan', meaning an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity. Eminem has been credited for the 'invention' of its meaning.

What word would you invent and what would be its meaning?

How the hell did Stan make it? Just because it's in the song or do people actually use that word?

Next they'll use Jolene for someone who steals another woman's man.

I agree, it wasn't even used in the song as anything other than the fan's name and how is it in "common use", I've never used it or heard it used... and I'm as common as muck.

I know. What's it voted for. Or can they point out where it's in common usage?
