Am I the only person who finds this term wrong... silly... stupid?
I don't want people to "In-box Me", I want people to "Message Me", to fill my box... with messages. I have no need to be boxed at all, regardless of whether that boxing is in or out, my box is fine.
We don't ask people to "ear us" if we want them to talk to us, or to "pigeon hole" us at work (although I've never had a pigeon in my hole either).
So folks, what new modern abuses of the English language irk you?

It will soon become part of our modern language. I often hear, google me, find me on facebook, twitter, etc. Words that did not exist several years ago. We just have to accept it, even if it is annoying. |

When people type your when they mean you're.
Saying bae instead of babe, not a fan of being called babe but come on are you too lazy to say the whole word. |

Also, where did "Oh-My-Days" come from. All of a sudden, the kids at school (I'm not a school-boy, it's where I work) were saying this instead of Oh-My-God. There didn't seem to be a transition, it just seemed to happen over night.
Was it used on some kiddies TV program, or did it just get added to the curriculum when I wasn't looking?

I just find literacy very attractive and sexy and if someone sends me a few words of textspeak, then I tend to assume they've not even read my profile so it's not a good start. |

Bae isn't short for babe. Bae stands for 'before anyone else'. Different word but still annoying. Both words may slip out of my mouth sometimes |
