According to Vanessa Feltz on radio 2 this morning women prefer compliments as similes. For example your eyes glisten like morning dew, rather than you have pretty eyes, which is apparently cheesy.
So girls, your boobs turn me on like the spin cycle on the Washington machine.
Have I pulled? |

My instincts tell me you pull often!
I think Vanessa is wrong on that one. Just 'looking good' is fine.
We don't need you are looking as good as a friday night curry with extra side dishes...... |

If you added 'and poppadoms' I would be instantly wet. |

Was supposed to be washing machine. Damn this auto correct, though it's often ducking fanny with the results. |

Your hair is as a waterfall
Cascading down your back
Your lips they have me in your thrall
As pure as snow is black
Swim in your eyes as mountain pools
Drown in their hidden depth
Your mind as sharp as any tool
A wit to take my breath |

I wonder if it's more to do with the belief (rightly or wrongly) that the simile required greater effort and perhaps was more personalised?
If I trust the giver, then either would positively affect me. |

"How about 'you're hotter than the surface of the sun and get me harder than the Financial Times crossword'?"
Not sure the Financial Times Crossword should be a turn on for you?
Were you punished for getting the wrong answers in your formative years ? |
