At the third stroke, the Speaking Clock will be 75 years old. But why in an era of laptops and mobiles do many people still get the precise time from a recording of a well-spoken woman?

Most computers running Windows are set to snyc with time.windows.com which is synchronised in turn to an atomic clock.
Chances are your PC has the most accurate time. At the third stroke it will be 16:06 precisely.
