Wearing my wedding dress to a funeral or wearing it to someone else's wedding?
(Disclaimer: I'm not actually thinking of doing either of those things, it's just part of a random thought process this morning! ) |

"Is this part of a Miss Havisham dealy or just a random act?
I'm hoping it's random. ..but could be the onset of something bigger. .."
I'd say that wearing it (whatever the colour) to your husbands funeral may raise an eyebrow or two but be generally ok.
Wearing it (assuming black) to another funeral may be accepted depending on style.
Wearing it (if white) to another funeral may seem odd and cause comment but muted comment given people are morose.
Wearing it to another wedding (especially if there is past bad blood between you and the couple) is likely to be seen as a dick move by all.
So, to answer the OP, I'd say to another persons wedding is the most inappropriate. |

"If you wear it to someone else's wedding you have to be sure to run out just in front of the real bride and get down the aisle first. "
Does that mean I'll end up married again? I really don't want that! |

I can see how your first experience would leave you scarred. |

"Dye the dress black and wear it to a funeral.
Paint it black and wear it to a Rolling Stones concert."
Not one of the options...that's a different thread |

"Is it a big, bouffant, puff sleeved dress, with a veil? You'll run the risk of being sectioned wherever you wear it, if it is. "
I hadn't factored that in... |
