It really was a terrible terrible event. At best it was shouty, attention seeking, 'all about me' stuff, rather than a proper debate.
The first one, back in 2010, when there were only three podiums at least produced reasoned, polite debate, rather than a re-enactment of a school playground
Disappointing that this is what our leaders think is appropriate.
Interesting that there was a gender divide in to the brashness... the female leaders were quieter, and more refined. They came across as better people, albeit with less chance to say anything.
Leanne Wood and Caroline Lucas aren't big in public consciousness though so were never going to make a massive impact. That's a point about their parties, not them individually.
