I watched it. I watched the Paxman May and Corbyn one too.

My honest opinion is.

FARRON seems to determined to scaremonger and keep us in the EU.

LUCAS, wants to stop HS2 and Hinkley point despite having good points on environment she just loses credibility on our energy/infrastructure needs.

WOOD, made no contribution but she made an excellent point that Labour has presided over a devolved Welsh Govt and has made no inroads to Education, Health, Welfare, Police, Transport that is in their current Manifesto.

NUTTALL, was shown to be the racist party. Don't know why they have airtime given they have no MP's. But made a point that Labour had adopted a major policy of theirs.

SNP Guy. Stood in for Sturgeon. No opinion.

CORBYN. Whenever he was asked a question of HOW he would implement something he would explain WHY there was a needed to do something. Never answering the question put. Several questions would have to be repeated to him, though he'd exhausted his time so others had to speak. My opinion on Corby is he is gaining the populist vote. He is saying what people want to hear. When there is no opposition he is clear as a bell, but when challenged he goes quiet. There has no doubt been a lot of political analysis and the Trump effect of 'say anything to get in' appears to be being adopted. To announce his Child Care Plan 1wk before the election smacks of this (especially not knowing the figures). £11bn in free university education will swap employers but be extremely popular to voters. When you look at him he looks tired, when he is cross-examined he rarely holds up and diverts onto several core subjects never expanding in detail on the one asked. I wonder how he would survive in negotiations especially with a divided/inexperienced party.

RUDD. She seemed more the politician. Authoritative, direct and answered tough questions on pension reform despite being heckled by the others. The Tory policies on welfare are hard to justify, those on public spending are similarly so, though everybody knows why these cuts were and are in place. Being reminded of the recession and the black holes found in the coffers is never appealing though their policy U-turns do show they do bow to pressure. She would be no doubt good in negotiations but she is tougher than IDS in reality.

MAY, considering her workload, she stands up well under scrutiny and can win favour despite home affairs. She has stuck to deadlines. The announcement of Article 50 for instance made last year for March this - despite court proceedings, forming a Govt and cross party opposition came in on time. The pension reform, at election time - it should be a Labour policy, instead it's a Conservative one. Rudd stated under Labour pensions went up £84 under Tories they went up £1000. The green paper is to advise on millionaire means testing. May would be lightyears ahead without that policy.

This is useful a useful tool to compare manifestos.

Well it's not hard to guess what party you support!

Torys will obviously win this election but they are going to lose seats and that is a loss to them. And May is completely to blame for that.

Me? I was asked for my opinion on how they performed. Now you ask who I support? I have no one party. At the moment, I am annoyed with Labour (and their supporters who are blind to any criticism). I am fearful of the Tories, and astonished at the Dems. I am considering not voting just to so I can pick bones with everyone who votes the next Govt in.

I have switched from lib dem to labour. Over the years I have increasingly gone left. It seems that the Tory party are he'll bent on taking more and more from those at most need. I earn a good salary, I'm lucky. I'm sick of seeing the poor and disabled picked on. Sick of seeing poor souls on the streets. Thersa May put our troops on the streets to help the police, no need there are plenty of ex forces already sleeping on them. The NHS is being ground into the dirt when it should be the jewel of our nation. Disabled people having their allowances taken back because they are not really disabled, although their Gp and Consultant say they are but somehow a nurse resides over an interview and he or she knows more than everybody else. Cuts made to social care. Children's services and adult services. The list goes on and on. It's time for this cruel government to go. Well survive brexit without Tory rule.

I'm not really sure American style bear pit debate shows really achieve anything or add anything useful to electoral proceedings.

As entertainment .. are they even entertaining or just a sad conformation and indictment of below par candidates who're essentially equivalent in their mediocrity and incompetence?

Meh..
