If you are using a laptop with a touch pad you have probably brushed it with your arm/hand/sleeve which has taken the cursor away from the text box you were typing in and placed the focus on the web page instead. Then when you hit the 'backspace' key it assumes you want to go back a page.
Amend your settings for your mousepad in control Panel and reduce it's sensitivity. |

Most likely, they javascript thats running the entry box doesnt have the correct key trapping code enabled.
/Disabel Geek Mode
IE9 (and I belive IE8) have a hotkey action assigned to a long press of the backspace key which does the equivalent of clicking the Back button.
Its not something that Ive found to disable, but you could try using Compatabilty Mode when viewing Fab in IE9 or IE8. To enable compatabilty mode, click the icon that looks like a tornpage on the right hand side of URL bar.
Ill try it and see if it works as well.... |
